Pre-K Unearth a Story

Youngsters ages 0-5 are encouraged to build a life-long love for reading with this FREE program. Here is how to participate:

Have someone read to you and log your time in ReadSquared. 1 minute = 1 point.
Collect prizes when you reach 120, 240, and 360 points.
Complete the reading goal before July 10th and receive a Certificate of Completion.

For added fun watch cool shows, play games, and go on exciting missions. Each week offers something different so check the calendar often and don't miss out!

Kids Unearth a Story

Children ages 6-12 are encouraged to build a life-long reading habit with this fun challenge. Here is how to participate:

Read/listen to books and log your time in ReadSquared. 1 minute = 1 point.
Collect prizes when you reach 240, 480, and 720 points.
Complete the reading goal by July 10th to receive a Certificate of Completion.
Attend 5 shows and complete the reading goal by July 10th to receive an invitation to the End-of-Summer Water Party at the library.

Teen Unearth a Story

This program is designed for teens age 13 to 17 to encourage life-long reading habits.

Points are earned by logging your reading in READsquared. Bonus points can be earned by attending different events.

Registration begins May 19th.
Between June 1st-July 31th read/listen to books/ebooks/audiobooks and log your pages in READsquared. 1 page = 1 point.
Collect a badge and prize when you reach 500, 1000, and 1500 points.
Complete the reading goal by July 31st to receive a certificate. Everyone receiving a certificate of completion will be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing!

Adult Unearth a Story

This program is designed for adults age 18 & up to encourage life-long reading habits.

Read books or listen to audiobooks and log your pages in ReadSquared before July 31st.
You'll receive a Completion Certificate for reading at least 5,000 pages.
Every 500 pages you read adds your name into the Grand Prize Drawing, with 1 lucky person winning $150! The more you read, the better your chances of winning!
For extra fun, pick up the Bonus Challenge at the Library's Circulation Desk. Readers who complete the Bonus Challenge will be entered into a $50 Bonus Drawing!
